Partner program terms

How partners earn for referring creators to ASPECT, and the rules that apply when a creator runs an affiliate program for their own products on ASPECT.

1. ASPECT's partner program

  • Who can join: anyone 18 or over. Creators on ASPECT are partners automatically (Dashboard, Refer and earn); others apply at /partners.
  • What counts as a referral: someone who starts building on ASPECT within 60 days of clicking your link, on the same browser, and who wasn't already a ASPECT user. The latest partner link they clicked wins.
  • What you earn: 30% of each payment the referred creator makes for their ASPECT plan (after discounts and taxes), for the first 12 months after their first payment. Trials, refunds and failed payments earn nothing.
  • Hold and payment: each commission is held for 30 days, then becomes payable. We pay payable balances over $50 at the start of each month to the PayPal or Wise account you give us. Smaller balances roll over. You're responsible for any tax on what you earn.
  • Not allowed: referring yourself or your own businesses; paid search ads on the ASPECT name; spam, misleading claims (including income claims), or pretending to be ASPECT; cookie stuffing or any other way of claiming referrals you didn't make. Say you're a partner when you share your link.
  • Ending: you can leave at any time. We can change these terms with 30 days' notice, or remove a partner who breaks them, in which case unpaid commissions on the affected referrals are cancelled.

2. Creators' own affiliate programs

  • A creator can invite people to promote their products for a commission the creator sets. The program is between the creator and their affiliates; ASPECT provides the links, tracking and records.
  • The creator, not ASPECT, pays their affiliates, and decides who is approved. ASPECT doesn't guarantee payment of a creator's commissions.
  • Tracking: when someone opens an affiliate's link to a creator's site, the code and the time are kept in that browser's local storage for the creator's chosen window, so a purchase in that window credits the affiliate. Refunded sales cancel their commission while it's unpaid.
  • The same rules apply: no self-referrals, spam, misleading claims or paid ads on the creator's name unless the creator allows it.
